History
"The Space Between" was bornas a scholarly society as a result of an October 1997 conference, "Bang,Boom, Bust and Bang (Again): The Space Between: Precursors and Aftermaths,1914-1945." The international conference was sponsored by the University of Reno and organized by Linda J.Holland-Toll, Roger J. Craik and Rita E. Rippetoe. With the success of theconference, participants were inspired to expand the possibilities for aninterdisciplinary discussion of studies in the interwar and wartime period.
